I was born in 1941 in Shiraz, Iran. I earned my master’s degree in physics and meteorology from Tehran University in 1968, and then I served in the Iranian Meteorological Organization (IMO), where I received a three year fellowship award from the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). In 1975 I came to the United States to study advanced satellite science, and it's application in the field of meteorology. My three years career development was extended through a variety of job-related seminars and conventions offered by the United States National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the National Aero-Space Administration (NASA) as well as certain technical training and workshops relevant to my field of expertise at Miami University. Upon completion of my studies in the United States, I became the head of Forecasting Office in IMO, as well as a Weather Forecaster of Iranian National Television (INTV). A few years later I became CEO of Zirakzadeh Science Foundation, that I was able to established 12 interactive and hands-on Science and Mathematics centers through out of the nation.
Besides my scientific background and career development, I have always been fascinated by the art of painting since my childhood. I mostly learned oil painting by myself, but I learned watercolor paintings under the mastery of the late Sumbat Der Kiureghian who was the most celebrated watercolor painter in my country. Later I attended School of Art at Tehran University. I was influenced by both western and eastern artistic styles and studied many master painters. My paintings are specially designed to describe certain scenes of the ordinary lives of people belong to various culture and traditional background surrounding me. Both my watercolor and oil paintings possess a harmony of colors and a mindful striking of expressions. During the 50 years of my on/off practices in painting, I have produced hundreds of watercolor, acrylic and oil paintings.
